As is the case with many college Athletic’s departments, increasing game ticket sales is a main objective. The approach to achieving this goal centered around elevating the team and individual players as well as creating incentive to attend a game that goes beyond ‘the game’. A couple of the projects that I produced were a premium mailer as well as player trading cards.

The mailer was specifically designed to complement the ad strategy which involved targeting different types of game-goers and offering them a specific ticket package. I concepted and executed a spinning ‘find your package’ wheel as well as a custom envelope.

The trading cards were part of a Mason’s promotional game giveaways. I illustrated the full men’s basketball team and then used those illustrations as the artwork for trade-able player cards. The cards were so successful that Mason then printed large-scale foam board cutouts of some of the illustrations for fans to use to cheer on their team. Go Green!
